Vidic: We're still fighting

Despite having lost their last two matches and underperformed in both, Nemanja Vidic insists the Reds must not lose hope and should take heart from their fighting display in the second period against Chelsea.

A poor performance against Bayern Munich on Tuesday was followed by another below-par display against Carlo Ancelotti's men who stole a march in the title race with their 2-1 victory at Old Trafford, albeit thanks to an offside Didier Drogba goal.

Vidic admits tiredness may have played a part during the first half, but says the Reds should be buoyed by their response after the restart.

"We were more aggressive and pressed higher up the pitch after half-time and that had an affect on the game," he told MUTV.

"We had some good half chances and if the final ball had been better we could maybe have been celebrating at the end.

"We still have five games to play and we need to win all of them. It won't be easy, but the second half against Chelsea gives us hope that we can do well."

While disappointed not to have reached their full potential against Chelsea, there was equal frustration at Drogba's controversial winner.

Vidic Staying in MU Until 2012

Manchester United central defender origin of Serbia, Nemanja Vidic once again confirmed would leave Old Trafford. At least until his contract ended in 2012.

Male 28 years this could be connected with Real Madrid and Barcelona at the start of the season. But Vidic calls are still very happy with his life with the Premier League's defending champions.

"I never said I wanted to move to Madrid," said Vidic told the Daily Star Sunday.

"I will stay at Manchester United at least until 2012. Then, we still have time to talk about the future," said Vidic.

Apparently, Vidic began to affirm its decision to remain a Red Devil. This after he raised his salary to 100 thousand pounds per week. Vidic will equal the highest salary Raihan's Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney.

"I was comfortable here. I think I've showed it in the field. Now, I focus on the game and play well," said Vidic. "Speculation can interfere with the media, and I do not want it."

"Maybe the media make speculations because my injury at the start of the season. People started to say I was not happy. In fact, I never said it was all," he continued.

Vidic admits she still wants to reach the Premier League trophy four times a row. And the opportunity is wide open with Manchester United this season.

"Nothing can be done before this in England. And I want to make history," lid Vidic.
